Why homeowners call us

The claim is the hard part. That is the part we take.

Filing a storm claim on your own means guessing at policy language, meeting an adjuster who works for the insurer, and hoping you get a fair number. Here is what changes when we handle it.

You pay your deductible. That is it.

When the claim is approved, your insurance covers the replacement. The deductible is due on the first day of install. No hidden line items, no surprise invoice at the end.

We document the damage properly

Most claims are denied because nobody proved the damage. We photograph every bruised shingle, every dented vent and every lifted edge, then put it in a report the adjuster cannot wave away.

We stand on the roof with the adjuster

When your insurer sends someone out, our representative is up there too, pointing at the hits. You do not have to argue with anyone or learn what a test square is.

5 year labor warranty

Materials carry the manufacturer warranty. Our workmanship carries ours. Your warranty documents arrive within 10 business days of final payment.

How it works

Four steps from hail hit to new roof

No mystery, no runaround. This is the whole process, start to finish.

  1. 1

    Step one

    Free roof inspection

We come out, get on the roof and check it properly. If there is storm damage worth a claim, we show you the photos and tell you straight. If there is not, we tell you that too.

  2. 2

    Step two

    You file the claim

You call your insurance company with the date of the event, the type of damage and the condition of the property. We give you exactly what to say. It takes about ten minutes.

  3. 3

    Step three

    The adjuster comes out

Your insurer assigns an adjuster and schedules an inspection. Our representative meets them on site, walks the roof with them and makes sure every hit lands in the damage report.

  4. 4

    Step four

    Your new roof goes on

Once the claim is approved we pull the permits, order the materials and schedule the install. You pay your deductible on the first day. Your warranty arrives within 10 business days of final payment.

A roofer and an insurance adjuster kneeling together on an asphalt shingle roof, examining a marked shingle

When the adjuster comes out, you are not the one on the ladder.

Two people look at the same shingle at the same time. That is how a hit ends up in the report instead of in an argument.

What we look for

Most storm damage does not look like storm damage

Homeowners tell us the roof looked fine, so they never called. Then the deadline passed. Here is what actually ends a roof.

Close up of an asphalt shingle with a hail impact bruise, chalk circled by a roofer

Bruised shingles you cannot see from the ground

Hail knocks the protective granules loose and leaves a soft, dark bruise in the mat underneath. From the driveway the roof looks fine. From four feet away it is a claim. This is the single most missed form of storm damage in Harris County.

Roofing granules collected in the bottom of an aluminium rain gutter

Granules in the gutters

Little black grains collecting at the downspout mean the shingle surface is coming apart.

Wind lifted asphalt shingle tabs curling up along a roof edge

Lifted or creased edges

Wind breaks the seal strip. The shingle lies back down and looks normal until the next storm takes it.

Dented vents, caps and flashing

Soft metal shows hail first. If the vents are dimpled, the shingles took the same beating.

Stains on the ceiling

By the time water reaches drywall it has been in the decking for a while. Do not wait on this one.

Time works against your claim

Waiting is what gets claims denied.

Texas law generally gives you two years to bring a claim, but that is not the deadline that catches people. Your own policy is. Most Texas policies require prompt notice of loss, and many carriers read that as 90 to 180 days from the date of the storm.

Miss that window and the conversation changes. Instead of paying for hail damage, the insurer starts calling it wear and tear, or blames a different storm you cannot prove. An inspection today costs you nothing and keeps the door open.

This is general information, not legal advice. Deadlines depend on your carrier and your policy. Read your policy or ask your agent, and see the Texas Department of Insurance for guidance after a storm.

Days 1 to 90

The strongest position. The storm date is documented, the damage is fresh and nobody can argue about the cause.

Months 6 to 12

Still filable in most cases, but expect harder questions about why you waited and what else happened in between.

After a year

Denials get common. Adjusters attribute worn granules and lifted shingles to age instead of a specific event.

Straight answers

The questions everybody asks before they call

If yours is not here, call us and ask. We would rather talk you out of a bad claim than sell you a roof you do not need.

What does this cost me?

The inspection is free and carries no obligation. If the claim is approved, your insurance pays for the roof replacement and you pay your deductible. It is due on the first day of installation. If we find nothing worth claiming, you owe us nothing.

Will filing a claim raise my rates?

That depends on your carrier and your policy, and nobody can promise you otherwise. Insurers generally treat weather claims differently from at fault claims, and widespread hail events affect an entire area rather than one household. Your agent can tell you how your specific policy handles it. We will never pressure you into filing.

How long do I have to file after a storm?

Texas law generally allows two years, but your policy usually sets a much shorter notice window, often 90 to 180 days from the date of loss. That policy deadline is what usually matters. The sooner you have the roof inspected, the stronger the claim.

My claim was already denied. Is it over?

No. Denials often come down to thin documentation or an adjuster who missed the damage. We inspect the roof, build a proper photo report and help you request a reinspection. We cannot guarantee an outcome, but a denial is not the last word.

My roof is old. Does that disqualify me?

Age alone does not. What matters is whether a specific storm caused specific damage. That said, an older roof makes documentation more important, because wear and tear is the first thing an insurer will point to.

Do I need to be home for the inspection?

It helps, but it is not required for the roof itself. We do want to walk you through the photos afterward, so most people schedule a time when they can spend fifteen minutes with us at the end.

How long does the replacement take?

Most single family roofs in our area go on in one day, occasionally two. We pull the permits, order the materials and give you a firm install date before anyone shows up with a nail gun.

What if I do not speak English?

Our crews speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and Vietnamese. Call (832) 800-2848 for Vietnamese.
